Fun, Proven Effective Early Literacy Program For FREE Through June ‘23

Are you a district or school serving a diverse student population and/or focused on improving all young children’s reading proficiency?

Learning Ally is offering Excite ReadingTM grant scholarships to eligible districts and schools

Participants will receive free subscriptions of Excite ReadingTM for January-June of 2023 along with implementation training and data check-ins.

In return, we ask participants to implement the program with fidelity (three sessions per week for at least 20 minutes per session), participate in pre- and post-surveys, and provide feedback and testimonials and anonymized reading data. Participants may choose to include any and all grades preK-2, and we ask that at least two teachers for each grade level you choose take part in the program. See more about eligibility below.

Eligibility:

  1. This is a need based scholarship. We are looking for schools where there is either financial need or need based upon low levels of reading proficiency/poor performance on reading assessments or overall educator assessment that significant portions of students PreK-2nd grade are struggling with learning reading foundational skills.
  2. Schools/Districts that are selected for the Grant commit to implementing the program to Learning Ally’s criteria of fidelity. Schools will ensure timely and agreed upon levels of student enrollment. Schools will ensure fidelity of use by educators and students.
    • Willing to implement starting January 2, 2023 through June 2023
    • Any and all grades PreK-2
    • At least 2 teachers participate for each grade level they choose to include
    • Participants will implement with fidelity (at least 3x/week for 20 minutes per session)
    • Participants will provide feedback and complete pre- and post-surveys
    • Participants will share reading benchmark data (pre and post) that will be anonymized
  3. The Learning Ally Ed Success Team will provide needed support for Educators and Students. Schools/Districts will commit to allowing Learning Ally regular check-ins and allow Learning Ally to chronicle the experience of the educators and students.
  4. Educators will provide Learning Ally with updates, quotes and if possible photos of students using the program to be shared on Learning Ally social channels.
